Filofax Friday~ More Paper Adventures.

So, I decided to try a Day per Page layout, with times listed on the sides, because I was finding that with my Week on Two Pages, things would get lost in all the other stuff I had written down.  Even with my color coding.
I found a layout that I really liked from the Philofaxy blog.  Here's the link: http://philofaxy.blogspot.com/p/diary-inserts.html
Even though I have A LOT of A5 paper cut, I wanted to see how it works printing on regular letter paper.  Let me tell you, it was an adventure.  One I lost sleep over.  One which my husband laughingly calls "pathetic."
There are some amazing tutorials on how to print double sided.  My printer has that function.  I can get things to print double sided without an issue.  But to print booklet style?  No go.  I literally spent hours trying to get it to work.  I read numerous tutorials.  But, I didn't see any that were for my particular issue.
I even called Staples to see how much it would cost to have them print it for me.  And it really wasn't that much, (Around $20.) But, seeing that I had the ink and the paper and the hole punch... I just couldn't justify spending the money when I had everything I needed to print them here.
I had downloaded them in Word, and had everything all laid out how I wanted, but it just wouldn't work.
I had my husband try for a while.  He couldn't get it.  Finally, I just decided to give it up for the night, but I couldn't get my brain to turn off.  I just knew there had to be a way to do it! Page ranges!
So, as I was supposed to be sleeping, it finally came to me.  At 3:30 AM.  I really should've just gotten up and tried it right then and there, but I talked myself into waiting until morning.  Which, was probably a bad idea, because I STILL couldn't go to sleep.
Anyway, when I got up, I was still pretty fuzzy headed even after my second cup of coffee... I had to write down my page ranges.

And adjust my printer settings:

I DID IT!  And I like the page per day so far.  We'll see how it all works out!  I hope this helps someone else.

Filofax Friday

Wow, this is a blurry Picture!  Sorry about that!
My filofax all filled in this week.  I LOVED having the little envelope.  I have a private "To Do" list in there.  My checklist stamp also was pretty handy.

Since it's St. Patrick's Day this week, I went with green striped washi.

And marked the day with a craft paper sticker from Target.  I also used my tooth sticker that came in a RAK I received.

It's kind of a crazy week with the kids being out of school for a good portion of it.  They have some half days thrown in there, too.

I made the four-leaf clover with some heart stickers.  I wish I would have had 4 of the same kind, but alas, I didn't.  The two tone is sorta cute, eh?

I haven't put all my chores down yet.  I think I'll wait until Monday morning to do that.  I do, however, really like my new cleaning system.  And my house has stayed clean.  My husband has even noticed it! (YAY!)

There's my upcoming week!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Filofax Friday

Here's my week last week all filled in.  I did implement a new cleaning schedule this week, which I really like.  It goes by 'job' instead of by 'room.'  For instance, one day, I will clean all the counters in the house. (Kitchens, bathrooms, etc.)  It seems to be going very well.  Both my house and I like it a lot.

I just got a new stamp, and I've been waiting all week to use it.  I bought it from Muji Online.  Here's the link: Check List Stamp
I love it!  And it was really affordable.  Only $3.75
I also bought the Hello Coco stickers from Ebay.  They're SO cute!

I stamped my checklist on every day.  It really helps me keep track of my to do's when I check them off.

I got both kinds of washi tapes from the JoAnn's clearance section this week.

The little envelope is from the Target Dollar Spot. I don't have a clue what I'm going to put in it yet, but it's darn cute, isn't it?  The owl sticky note is from a RAK I received.  And there's my schedule for the week!  As usual, it'll fill up pretty quickly as the week progresses.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Filofax Friday and a Mini Haul!

I hit the Target Dollar Spot last week and picked up a few goodies for myself!  And I used most of this haul to decorate this week!  I love the coral polka dot washi.  It's probably my favorite piece from this haul... That, and the "&" stamp.
Here's next week decorated.  I really like how minimalistic it is.  The only stickers I used are the gold heart and the label sticker.  The package they came in has the same stickers in a craft paper.  SO much fun!
And here are my pages with a bit of my schedule in.  I do color code, thus the different colors of ink that you see.  I have a different color for each member of my family, which makes it so much easier to keep track of everyone's schedules.

I do need to put something under the flags to make it so they stay down better.  Any suggestions?
Thanks so much for stopping by again!

Oh, and just a quick question: I've been tossing the idea around in my head about a YouTube channel...  If you would be interested in watching how I decorate, my setup, and some other things that I do on my blog, please comment!  Thank you!

Filofax Friday

I just joined a couple of Filofax Facebook groups that I'm really excited about.  It's neat how such a big community has developed around planners and decorating them.  I'm loving all the tips and advice that I'm getting.  Not to mention drooling over everyone's decorations...
I used three different colors of washi this week.  I love the blue with the subtle chevron pattern.

I used some cute colored labels that I got from the Dollar Spot at Target and some butterfly stickers from the Dollar Store.

It's simple, but colorful, and cute!

I just got this organizer from Wal-Mart that I'm sorta excited about.  It's got three drawers in it that I've got my washi, stickers, and extra post-its in.  The top has sections for paperclips and such.  I'm loving it!  All my Filofax supplies in one spot!

I hope you have a fabulous Friday!  Happy decorating!

Filofax Friday

It's Friday again! And Happy Valentine's Day!  And I'm actually ahead of schedule this time!  I was able to make a visit to Staples, and I found some more cute washi.  (It's become an obsession!)  Aren't those bicycles great?
Here's the other page.  And, as you can see, I found my white out!

We're getting ready to get on the road for a weekend trip to visit family in Idaho.  I'm more than excited.  Our kids are having a sleepover with my parents in their fifth wheel tonight, and my hubby and I are having a night just the two of us!  That's pretty rare, and so I'm really excited about it.  Happy Valentine's Day to me!

The more I use my filofax, the more I love it!  I love how I can just look up a date and I know exactly what I have going on.  My days are getting busier and busier, and although it doesn't look like it now, this week will fill up pretty quickly.
Have a fabulous Valentine's Day!  I hope yours is as filled with love as I know mine will be!

Filofax Friday

As promised, here's this week filled in.  I love that this weekend is so open!  YAY!  Lots of family time at home, which we all love.

As I was decorating this week, I was really bummed about some washi tape I got.  It's the Scotch brand, and it kept tearing.  Repeatedly.  But, it's the only red washi I had, and since this week is Valentine's week, I kept at it.

And, isn't washi supposed to be repositionable?   This?  Not so much.  Ugh.

But, I powered through... And realized that I have misplaced my white-out... So stickers cover some of the plans we had made for the move that isn't going to happen...  Oh, well... They're cute.  And some are scratch and sniff. :)  I would have done more with the washi tap, but I was at the end of my rope with this red stuff....  Me no likey.  Oh, well.  It turned out to be pretty cute.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Filofax Friday

When I was getting everything ready to decorate my pages this morning, I thought that maybe I'd do my February month on two pages as well, but decided against it.  I want to get some Valentine-y stickers before I do that.  So, stay tuned to see how my month will look.
I'm definitely feeling the need for spring!  It's been so dreary here lately, so I decided to brighten things up with flowers and bees and butterflies.

I grabbed this cute flowery washi tape from the Dollar Store, and the pink from Target.

I used my paper cutter to cut the pink washi in half to use vertically as separation.  I've never done this before, so we'll see how it goes this week.

Here come the flowers and bees!  I got these stickers at the Dollar Store, too!  I love it there. :)

Here's my finished pages for next week!  I love the little bees!  This week is bound to get crazy since we're wrapping up things for my daughter's dance show on Friday, and I have moving companies coming to do estimates for moving our house.  I'm starting to get excited!
I will be taking one of my reader's suggestions,  (thank you, giftieetcetera!) and adding a tab to my moving section that will basically tell me what is going in which box and where it is to go at the new house.  I just haven't worked it all out in my head yet.
Here's to another great week!

Filofax Friday... And a BIG announcement.

Sorry I'm posting so late in the day!  Today's been an interesting one, and I'm still processing all the emotions that have come with it.

I'l be adding some new sections to my Filofax.  I'll tell you more about that later in the post.  I picked up some Martha Stewart dividers today, and of course, the holes don't match up.  So, I covered them with washi tape, and re-punched them.
Voila!  They fit!

Here's the announcement:  Check out the tab.
Yep.  The Pogue family will be relocating.  To Georgia.  YIKES!  This'll be a huge change for us, and I'm scared and excited all at once.  I've been in the Northwest my entire life, so I'm sure everything will be new for me.  I'll be using my Filofax to try to organize our move and all the craziness that comes with it.

Here's this week:
Not a lot on the schedule yet, but I'm sure it'll be packed by the end of the week.  I love the harlequin washi tape, and I picked up the stickers in the Dollar Spot at Target.

Have any of you used a planner to organize a move or other big transition in your life?  I want to know about it!  Comment if you have any tips for me!

Filofax Friday

Ah, Friday, I'm so glad you're here!  And, as promised, here's a view of my week at the end of it.  I have most everything filled in.  Today is rather blank, and I'm relieved.    Honestly, it was a struggle sitting down to focus on anything this week, so I'm really glad I had my Filofax to keep me on track.

Here's a view of my upcoming week.  My middle son's birthday is on Monday, so there's lots of party planning going on.  I used a polka dot washi tape I got at the dollar store (SCORE!) to decorate my pages.  I attempted to cut some of it with some cute scrapbooking scissors to give it a decorated edge, and let me tell you, that's harder than it sounds.
I think I'm going to go to Target this week and look for more things to decorate with.
I used some fun stickers that I've had since I was in about 3rd grade.  Don't ask me why I've had them that long.  I don't really know.  And if you know me, please don't do the math.  It's scary.

It's simple.  But, it's pretty cute.

What are your favorite places to get stickers and decorations for your planner?

Filofax Friday

I'm going to *try* to do a Filofax every Friday.  I'm excited to show you my first.  Since my tour, see post here:http://envoguepogue.blogspot.com/2013/12/a-tour-of-my-filofax.html I've added this section:
I cut out some regular notebook paper and printed some sayings about being thankful.  I'll be able to keep my list of "thankfuls" with me so I'll always have it.

I was also SO excited to discover that I'm made the last Web Finds for 2013 on Philofaxy.com.  Check it out!  #19, baby! http://philofaxy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/web-finds-31-december-2013.html

I just finished decorating my pages for next week.  I don't get too fancy, just some washi tape her and there.  I love the leopard print with the silver glitter, though!  So pretty!

The kids start back to school next week and all their extracurricular activities resume.  Life is about to get crazy again!

You can see my menu planner as week as my list of resolutions here.  This way as I'm looking over my week, I have these right in front of me so I don't forget.  This is such a great reminder for my resolutions!
And this is the printable that I printed out from Ann Voskamp's site,  and you can get one here: http://www.aholyexperience.com/2013/12/a-grace-plan-a-doable-life-change-plan-for-a-new-year-a-new-you-with-printable/
There's even different colors to choose from!  I absolutely love it!  And my resolutions are written on the back of it.
I haven't filled in very much of my schedule yet... Next Friday I'll take an "after" shot so you can see my pages after they've been all crazified with that which is my life.
I need to get some little leopard stickers...  Any fellow Filofax users have a good resource for cute stickers?
